The most frequent questions from knitters of my patterns are…
What is a no stitch? How do you make a no stitch? What is this grey box called a no stitch? I’ve looked all over the internet and cannot find how to do a no stitch!?!
The Secret of the No Stitch
The secret of the no stitch is: it’s NOT a stitch! For serious. The no stitch is literally not-a-stitch. It’s simply a placeholder to help align chart elements.
There is no trick, and no secret. The no stitch box could be grey, black, or any other color. But if it’s labeled in the key as a no stitch, you just want to ignore it.
